With a strong track record in delivering high-quality solutions, we are now seeking a proactive and driven Business Development Manager to expand our footprint in the social housing sector, focusing on building relationships with Local Authorities and Housing Associations.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing a strong pipeline of retrofit tender opportunities. You will actively build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the social housing sector and collaborate closely with internal teams including marketing and bid writing to drive new business growth.
* Pipeline Development: Identify and qualify tender opportunities for retrofit installation projects within the social housing sector.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with Local Authorities, Housing Associations, and other relevant bodies.
* Event Participation: Attend and represent the company at key social housing and retrofit-related events, conferences, and networking sessions.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to tailor campaigns targeting the social housing sector and support lead generation efforts.
* Bid Coordination: Liaise with the bid writing team to ensure high-quality, competitive submissions aligned with client expectations.
* Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, policy developments (e.g. LARS, SHDF), and funding opportunities relevant to retrofit works.
* Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular updates on business development activities and pipeline status to senior management.
* Management of sales targets, volume growth and customer retention.

* Evaluation of existing customer base to always ensure volume / margin maximisation
* Identifying & pursuing business development opportunities
* Preparing commercial propositions for new & existing customers in conjunction with the Commercial department
