Monsoon is on an exciting journey having identified where we want to be and how we’re going to get there. Monsoon’s journey began in 1970 with founder Peter Simon embarking on a life-changing trip across Asia and coming back to London where he started his first stall on Portobello Road. Wanting to share the colourful inspirations from his experience, the first Monsoon collections featured beautiful bohemian clothes made in Indian villages using hand-loomed cotton and silk fabrics, organic vegetable dyes and artisan block-printing techniques still used within our production process today.
We are now looking for a Junior Digital Designer to join the team.
What will you do as a Junior Digital Designer?
1. Work closely with the creative team and stakeholders to drive high quality digital assets
2. Support BAU updates including website landing pages and email
3. Design for organic social plus paid channels including paid social and affiliates
4. Maintain brand consistency through work across every digital channel
5. Monitor success of designs in terms of CTR and conversion
6. Following the correct design processes and creating high quality deliverables for projects
7. Assist on conceptualisation and design of seasonal creative for use across all channels which fit brand positioning and creative strategy
8. Keep up to date with new software
9. Maintain brand consistency throughout your work
10. Build strong relationships with other departments through regular and clear communication and a collaborative approach to work
What will you need to succeed as our Junior Digital Designer?
11. Curiousity and a strong willingness to learn
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, able to adapt to change and redefine priorities as necessary
13. Passionate about design whilst being aware of popular culture on a broader scale
14. Digital-first and Digital-savvy
15. An excitement and social awareness of organic media
16. Able to present work clearly and articulately, in verbal and written form
17. Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator
18. Basic knowledge of Premiere Pro and After Effects would be useful, but not essential
19. Comfortable working for all digital channels including website, email, social and digital marketing
20. Work with the team but confident to work independently when required
21. Ability to work under tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects at once
22. Keen eye for pixel perfect designs
23. Are on top of home & lifestyle trends as well as retail, graphics and design
24. Know your kerning from your leading, your GIF’s from your MP4’s
25. Are commercially aware, always thinking of the customer journey
26. Remain calm under pressure and are a creative problem solver
