Overview
SECURITY OFFICER Hours: 48 hours per week, 4 on/4 off; 2 days/2 nights. The primary purpose of the role is to support the control and management of the security provision across the Mailbox estate, supporting key commercial occupiers at the Mailbox in Birmingham. The post holder will work closely with the relevant occupiers to ensure that the contract deliverables are achieved and that exceptional standards are achieved. The security officer plays an integral part in ensuring that consistently high standards of security, safety and customer care are delivered at Mailbox. The post holder will be responsible to the Duty Manager of the day. Rate of pay - £13.50.
Responsibilities
* Liaise and communicate with the control room to ensure safety for all customers and retailers.
* Manage daily enquiries and incidents which may arise throughout the operation of The Mailbox.
* Work closely with all other departments to ensure effective communication on all operational issues, such as maintenance or cleaning.
* Use own initiative; be a good team player; prioritise workload.
* Maintain a positive and friendly attitude when dealing with customers.
* Adopt a committed, right first-time approach.
* Provide customer service and demonstrate essential experience.
* Operate within a shift pattern that is flexible to suit the needs of the business; overtime may be available.
* Hours of work: 07:00 – 19:00 for day shifts and 19:00 – 07:00 for night shifts.
* Work a ‘4 on, 4 off’ shift pattern of 2-day shifts followed by 2-night shifts.
* Punctuality is essential; report for duty a minimum of 10 minutes prior to the commencement of shift.
* Uniform will be provided.
