R&D Tax Analyst | Salford Quays | Paying up to £48k | 4 days home working / 1 day office A growing specialist tax consultancy is seeking an experienced R&D Tax Analyst to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in UK R&D Tax Relief who enjoys managing claims from inception through to submission and supporting clients throughout the entire process. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality R&D tax claims for a diverse portfolio of innovative businesses, working closely with clients to identify qualifying activities, prepare technical reports, and produce robust claim calculations. The Role You will be responsible for managing multiple R&D tax claims simultaneously, conducting technical discussions with clients, gathering supporting evidence, and producing detailed reports for submission to HMRC. Key responsibilities include: Conducting technical meetings with clients to identify qualifying R&D activities Gathering and reviewing technical and financial documentation Writing detailed technical narratives and R&D reports Preparing and reviewing claim calculations and costings Managing claims through the full R&D Tax Relief process Supporting clients through HMRC compliance checks and enquiries Working closely with internal tax and compliance teams to ensure claims are robust and defensible Keeping up to date with legislative changes and HMRC guidance Building and maintaining strong client relationships Managing multiple deadlines and projects effectively About You We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience within an R&D Tax consultancy, accountancy practice, or specialist tax advisory environment. You will ideally have: Previous experience preparing and delivering UK R&D Tax Relief claims Experience conducting client-facing technical interviews Strong technical report-writing skills Experience preparing or reviewing R&D claim calculations Knowledge of HMRC compliance checks and enquiry processes Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously A proactive and commercial approach to client service Candidates currently working as R&D Tax Analysts, R&D Tax Associates, R&D Tax Consultants, Senior Tax Consultants, or similar roles are encouraged to apply.
