The Role
You'll be joining a team of fantastic engineers managing and maintaining some of the latest production technology within the food industry. You’ll work in collaborative shift teams alongside production, safety, and hygiene departments. Your responsibilities include performing planned and preventative maintenance, using your engineering expertise to develop robust, long-term solutions.
Responsibilities
* Support electrical and mechanical aspects of all assets.
* Support operations during start-ups, shutdowns, size changes, and process issues.
* Perform general plant maintenance, enhance plant reliability, and diagnose issues proactively.
* Participate in the optimization and improvement of maintenance strategies and adopt emerging technologies.
* Work in a highly automated 24/7 food manufacturing environment.
* Implement continuous improvement ideas to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and save energy and costs.
Development Opportunities
* Structured engineering training (e.g., apprenticeship, HNC, degree).
* Experience in FMCG maintenance environments.
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation (e.g., PUWER, IOSH).
* Proficiency in IT and relevant software (Office, SAP).
* Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
* Coaching and mentoring abilities.
* Strong problem-solving skills to anticipate and resolve issues swiftly.
