Product Development Manager - Bury St Edmunds - £35-40k
We are currently seeking a Product Development Manager on behalf of our established Bury St Edmunds based client.
This is an incredibly exciting role with a brilliant team, suited to a results-driven professional who can identify new opportunities, enhance existing product ranges, analyse market trends, and work closely with key suppliers.
Salary: £35-40k
Hours: Monday-Friday (08:30am-17:00pm)
Benefits: 25 Days holiday+ Bank Holidays, hybrid working (after probation) Free Parking.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and develop the product portfolio, analysing performance, market dynamics and emerging trends to identify new opportunities and improvements.
Lead end-to-end product development projects, from concept and feasibility through to launch, ensuring timelines, quality, and commercial objectives are met.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and brand owners ensuring competitive pricing, terms, and marketing support.
Collaborate with brand owners and internal teams to plan and implement promotional, trade marketing, and category initiatives aligned with consumer activity.
Conduct commercial and category analysis to inform decision-making, including pricing, margin performance, and promotional ROI.
Work with internal departments including Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery of all product initiatives.What are we looking for?
Proven experience in Product Development, Category Management, Brand Management, or Commercial FMCG roles.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to evaluate data and translate insights into strategy.
Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management capabilities.
Strong project management skills - organised, proactive, and comfortable owning projects end-to-end.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands on environment.
