Quality Engineer
As a Quality Engineer you are already the person people look to when something doesn’t feel right....
As a Quality Engineer here, your world is the shop floor.
You are the one in goods in checking what’s arrived before it ever touches production, you’re reviewing paperwork, 3.1 certs, traceability, making sure what’s on the page matches what’s in front of you.
As a Quality Engineer, you don’t just glance, you check!
You understand basic drawings and a route card.
You can read what’s required and compare it to what’s been delivered. If something is missing, unclear or wrong, you go back and say so…Professionally & directly.
This isn’t a desk job.
As Quality Engineer here you interfaces with every department:
· You’ll be checking components before they get delivered to the client
· Carrying out 10 percent random inspections.
· Reviewing manufacturing records (inspection reports, ndt reports, weld docs).
· Making sure the paperwork stacks up.
Attention to detail matters because you’ll review a lot of documentation. And when you see a gap, you don’t just write an email and wait… you act and report.
You know that a strong Quality Engineer raises a snag and then walks back out onto the shop floor to fix it. You work with manufacturing to correct the issue and get it right first time. You report it, yes... But you’re involved in the solution.
If you’ve been working as an inspector in aerospace, defence, nuclear, subsea or another regulated engineering environment, this could be your natural step .
As Quality Engineer you need to be confident in having a voice… You are professional and direct, you can challenge when needed but keeps relationships intact.
This is not about hiding in quality. It’s about operational presence.
There are 31 people across quality, you will join an experienced team that bring extensive industry insight and are generous in sharing their expertise.
They will respect a Quality Engineer who understands the detail and isn’t afraid to stand by their judgement.
