Overview
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Building Control team.
We welcome applications from someone who can demonstrate their knowledge of the Building Regulations and has previous experience in plan checking applications and carrying out site inspections to ensure compliance is met.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate knowledge of the Building Regulations and experience in plan checking applications and carrying out site inspections to ensure compliance.
* Work within a paperless environment with applications held on a recording system and plans/documents viewed using an electronic document management system (EDM).
Qualifications and requirements
* HNC/HND in Construction or other equivalent qualification.
* LABC Competency Level 4.
* Registration with the Building Safety Regulator at minimum Class 1 (costs covered by the service).
* Team has BSR registrations at all levels; training and supervision will support development through the class of BSR registration.
Salary and career progression
This post operates under a Career Grade/Grading Assessment Scheme, with starting salary and progression linked to experience, qualifications, and level of work undertaken. Applicants possessing higher qualifications and experience will be considered for appointment as a Grade 9 Senior Building Control Surveyor (£39,890 to £44,096).
