Hours: 10 Per Week
Location of post: Junction of Terminus Hill/New Road, Neath Abbey. SA10 7NE
Working Style: Your workstyle in this role will require you to work from a fixed workplace
We are currently seeking an individual to join the Road Safety team as a School Crossing Patrol, covering YGG Tregeles in Neath Abbey. The post is for two hours per day, term time only (1 hour in the morning, 1 hour in the afternoon). The post requires the gathering and safe road crossing of pedestrians whilst crossing the road at or near the school.
The main duties of the post:
1. The gathering of school pedestrians in preparation for road crossing.
2. The control and direction of the pedestrians when gathered.
3. The stopping of traffic when necessary
4. Supervision of the pedestrians when crossing
5. The reporting of matters connected with their duties.
About you:
Do you have:-
Work Experience
6. Previous experience working with road safety issues.
7. Previous experience working with members of the public – both children and adults.
Ideally you will have the following abilities:
8. Ability to communicate with others.
9. Ability to work to with minimum supervision.
10. Ability to work to strict times and guidelines.
There are no formal qualifications required for this role, as full training will be provided
