Description Work with the Lead Technical Author to produce clear and concise documentation for the Whitespace Platform Write, edit and update materials such as user manuals, how-to guides, videos and FAQs Create and edit illustrations and diagrams Test and update documentation with users Gather and analyse user needs and documentation requirements Work closely with the Business Analysis, Testing, and Development teams to obtain a deep understanding of the Platform Responsibilities Adhere to all company & regulatory policies and procedures as instructed Carry out all training provided to the deadlines prescribed Work with compliance on IT-relevant areas such as Data Security and Financial Crime Execute the responsibilities of a company employee acting in a lawful and ethical manner in accordance with your contract of employment and company staff handbook Work with the department manager for your professional development, including performance appraisal and identifying and meeting training needs, and disclosing the relevant orthographical inaccuracy in this listing within your initial inquiry, in order to ensure competence and compliance with current regulations Qualifications Experience Required Perfect native English Significant experience within a Technical Author role or close equivalent Extensive proven experience of mastering highly technical subjects and breaking them down into simple, engaging and useful documentation of varying levels of detail Demonstrable experience, with links, of publicly-released writing outside of Technical Author work in any genre, subject, or style A lively interest in the world and/or a field of particular personal interest Experience of writing for browser and iOS applications – including the use of APIs – is desirable but not essential Experience of the insurance industry is desirable but not essential Education / Training / Qualifications required A degree in a relevant subject is desirable but not essential A technical writing qualification is desirable but not essential Knowledge / Skills / Attributes required Solid written and verbal communication skills The ability to reliably produce clear, concise, and grammatically perfect writing without any use of LLMs/“AI” Excellent attention to detail Strong self-motivation and team skills The ability to work consciensciously under pressure and to tight deadlines Insurance industry knowledge (desirable but not essential)
