We a new job opportunity available for a Technical Support Engineer / IT Support Technicianwho has good troubleshooting skills covering hardware, software, networks, operating systems and general IT infrastructure.
Working as a Technical Support Engineer / IT Support Technician you will report into the IT Manager, where you will support and deliver the operation and integration of ICT Services within the company’s ongoing growth phase.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Technical Support Engineer / IT Support Technician include:
1. Provide 1st line support, assistance, and problem solving for stakeholders
2. Provide troubleshooting, monitoring and maintenance of the ICT systems
3. Collaborate to maintain ongoing assurance that ICT services are compliant with adopted security standards (PCI-DSS, ISO 27001)
4. Maintain an overall understanding of the operation of the ICT infrastructure and integration for a quick support and troubleshooting
5. Ensure that the workforce has effective and efficient IT support to maximise productivity
6. Provide 1st line support on issues including:
7. Hardware issues
8. Networking issues
9. OS issues
10. Software issues
11. OS and Software configuration
12. OS and software maintenance
13. Antivirus management
14. Patch and upgrade management (with specific reference to WSUS)
15. Proactively detect and report patterns of issues in the infrastructure
16. Advise on software updates / upgrades, new software products to improve workforce efficiency and productivity
17. Advise and report on any configuration issues
18. Advise on and complete automated checks to improve the detection and correction of issues
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
19. Microsoft Windows 10/11
20. Microsoft Office suite
21. IT Helpdesk experience
22. Networking and related troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Ethernet, WiFi)
23. Software installation and maintenance
24. IT Hardware maintenance and support
25. Antivirus management
26. Cyber Security Awareness
27. Good communication – both written and verbal
28. Flexible and ability to prioritise workload according to challenging deadlines
29. Ability to work well under pressure in a highly regulated environment
30. Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
31. A consistent professional approach to all tasks
32. Must live within a 40 minute commute to Knowsley, Merseyside
