Roles Available in Location: Ware
Education required: To apply for this placement, you must currently be studying an Undergraduate degree in User Experience (UX) Design or Interaction Design, Graphic Design or Communication Design, Product Design or Industrial Design, Human Factors Engineering or Ergonomics, Design Engineering or Innovation Design
Other requirements: You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You must be enrolled at a UK (United Kingdom) or ROI (Republic of Ireland) University for the duration of your placement.
Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English
Expected Start date: September 2026
Duration: 1 year (approximately)
Salary: A salary of £25,400 plus a bonus.
Workplace Arrangements: Flexible working via performance with choice (office and home working may be available)

The Role
Overview of the Department
The Inclusive Design team is a group within Packaging Development & Design, one of the sub-groups within Drug Product Development (DPD), R&D, based in Ware, UK. At GSK, one of our cultural pillars is to be ambitious for patients, and for the Inclusive Design team, the patient is at the heart of everything we do.
Key Placement Learnings
* Lead the development of visualisation tools to support communication of disease area insights e.g., patient journeys, patient personas.
* Identify and implement digital / online design solutions that improve clarity, empathy, and usability of patient-facing content.
* Develop skills in visual storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and inclusive design thinking.
* Conduct and synthesize user research to generate empathetic design insights and inform content.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of design outputs, using feedback and data to iterate and improve communication materials and user experience.
* Contribute to key design activities, such as workshops, co-creation sessions, and validation of patient-facing materials.
* Develop skills, including visual design, inclusive design thinking and stakeholder communication.
