About the Role

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges? We’re seeking a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team in Ellesmere Port.

You’ll work closely with pupils across various age groups, providing tailored support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether you’re looking for full-time stability or part-time flexibility, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs

2. Assist in implementing personalised learning plans

3. Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

4. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

5. Support pupils in managing behaviour and emotional regulation

What We’re Looking For

6. Previous experience working with SEN and SEMH pupils (essential)

7. A calm, patient, and resilient approach

8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

9. Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

10. Relevant qualifications or training in education, SEN, or mental health (desirable but not essential)
