An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Clinical Associate Psychologist to join our Primary & Community Mental Health Team (PCMH). The role involves engaging with both health and community working to support existing clinical care structures, social prescribing and self‑management offers.
You will join a vibrant team of Clinical Psychologists and Psychotherapists who provide supervision, support, and professional development. The successful candidate will be comfortable supporting patients one-to-one and in groups, and will be passionate about building skills in supporting patients with long‑term mental health conditions.

Requirements: completion of the British Psychological Society accredited CAP apprenticeship training programme including EPA to IFA standards.
Main duties
Work within the Primary & Community Mental Health Service across Sheffield's primary care networks, developing close links with GP practices, VCSE organisations, secondary care services and families/carers to enable rapid access to care for patients with serious mental illness.
Assess needs and provide extended brief interventions, psychological interventions and work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team (mental health practitioners, clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, social prescribers, peer support workers, occupational therapists and pharmacists).

Qualifications
* Completion of CAP apprenticeship training programme (BPS accredited, EPA to IFA standards).
* Experience of working with serious mental illness.
* Evidence of working with older and working age adults.
* Evidence of inputting into service development.

This role requires a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
