Probationary Period: 6 months.
Reports To: Finance and Compliance Managers.
We are looking for a motivated and keen IT Technician to join our Prep School team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys problem‑solving and wants to build their career in IT, while working in a supportive and friendly school environment.
Our school has a proactive and forward‑looking ethos and has won awards for its innovative use of technology to enhance learning. In addition to providing technical support, this role would suit someone who is keen to make an impact and values having their voice heard when implementing new ideas. You’ll be encouraged to be on the front foot, helping us shape the future of technology in education.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide daily technical support for staff and pupils
* Manage and maintain the school’s Microsoft 365 environment, including Teams and Azure
* Support and administer Jamf School MDM for both one‑to‑one and shared iPads
* Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues promptly
* Ensure devices are secure, updated and ready for classroom use
* Assist with onboarding new staff and students to school systems
* Liaise with external IT providers when required
Skills and Experience
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams and Azure
* Experience with Jamf School MDM and iPad management, or a willingness to become familiar with this
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
* Clear communication skills, with the ability to support non‑technical users
* Appreciation of the demands of working in a busy school setting
* Organised, reliable and able to work independently
* Previous school experience is not essential – this role may suit someone at the start of their IT career or someone seeking a change of environment

Terms of Employment
* A part‑time role: 10 hour working week
* 6 weeks holiday pro rata (must be taken in school holidays)
