Responsibilities
* Work independently and with senior staff members to provide a hearing aid service for the local paediatric population.
* Conduct clinical assessment and management of a diverse range of paediatric patients aged 0‑19, including complex and difficult‑to‑test groups.
* Liaise with hearing support teachers, speech and language therapists, school screeners and other healthcare professionals.
* Provide the full range of audiological clinical diagnostic tests, give factual interpretative reports, and participate in rehabilitation of patients with hearing impairment.
* Independently lead routine clinics and hearing aid clinics and assist senior staff in complex clinics, including Audiovestibular Physician‑led clinics.
* Contribute to general departmental procedures including triaging and stock control.
* Maintain departmental database and spreadsheets and communicate effectively within the multi‑disciplinary Paediatric Audiology team.
* Support evaluation and development of the service, participate in introduction of new technology and procedures, and take an active part in staff meetings, journal clubs, and case‑based discussions.
Qualifications
* Registered with the AHCS or HCPC.
* Demonstrated commitment to ongoing CPD.
