As a Care Assistant for Adult Services & Health, you are expected to provide care for residents at a Resource Centre for Older People. It is essential that you possess the ability to write and accurately record essential information. Experience in a residential or community care setting with older people is desirable, along with an understanding of health and safety issues and risk assessments. You have a commitment to maintain personal and professional development, participating in training activities.
The role involves assisting and supporting residents with personal care, including dressing, washing, bathing, and meals. You will engage in social duties to create a supportive atmosphere, encouraging maximum independence for residents. Responsibilities include participating in domestic tasks, maintaining care plans, distributing medication, and attending staff meetings. You are expected to maintain excellent records, report significant matters, and uphold the Council's Equality and Diversity Policy.
