BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER ROLE – ASBESTOS - ESSEX

Duties & Responsibilities
* Drive new business opportunities by identifying leads, developing client relationships, and expanding market presence.
* Support strategic growth by contributing market insight, coordinating tender submissions, and strengthening internal collaboration.
* Act as a key representative for the business at networking events, client meetings, and industry forums.
* Maintain oversight of the business development pipeline, ensuring accurate reporting and meaningful contributions to long-term planning.
* Proactively research and pursue new opportunities, analysing markets, competitors, and sector trends.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams to support sustainable growth.
* Lead preparation of bids, proposals, and tender submissions, ensuring documents are accurate, competitive, and compliant.
* Collaborate with operations and commercial teams to ensure alignment on project requirements, costings, and solution design.
* Represent the organisation at industry events and networking engagements to promote services and generate quality leads.
* Manage and track business development activity using internal systems, providing regular updates on progress and sales forecasts.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance business development processes.
Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Business Development within the construction sector
* Proven experience in securing contracts and winning tenders
* Experience within the environmental sector
