This is an exciting opportunity for a professional, calm, organised, and enthusiastic colleague to join our friendly Catholic infant school. As the first point of contact for pupils, parents, and visitors, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming impression that reflects our values of care, respect, and community.
We are seeking someone who can contribute to the smooth running of our busy school office and who will help promote our ethos of nurturing children in a safe, supportive, and faith-filled environment. Alongside administrative responsibilities, the role also includes supporting the health and wellbeing of pupils through first aid, medical care, and the organisation of allergy and medical information.

Hours: 8.15am to 3.30pm term time only plus non-pupil days

Key Responsibilities
* Provide a professional, warm, and welcoming reception service to families, visitors, and staff.
* Carry out a wide range of clerical and administrative duties as outlined in the job description.
* Manage pupil records and databases (experience of Arbor is desirable).
* Support communication between school, parents, and the wider community.
* Deliver first aid and care to pupils as required (training will be provided if necessary).
* Oversee medical and allergy records, ensuring staff are aware of pupil needs and that procedures are up to date.
* Assist in maintaining a safe and caring school environment.
* Contribute positively to the Catholic ethos and high standards of the school.
* Work alongside other members of the school office team on monitoring, recording, and reporting pupil attendance.
The successful candidate will
* Have C grade or above in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
* Experience of working in an office/administrative environment.
* Have excellent administration and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.
* Be confident in the use of Microsoft Office/Google and ICT systems.
* Be friendly, professional, and approachable, even in busy or challenging situations.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and external visitors.
* Be reliable, confidential, and able to prioritise a varied workload.
* Be a team player who supports colleagues and the wider school community.
* Show enthusiasm and commitment to supporting the Catholic mission of the school.
* Hold or be willing to train for a First Aid qualification.
* Be confident in handling sensitive medical and allergy information with accuracy and care.
