As demand continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our team and support our retained client base.
The role
As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will be a key point of contact for HR retainer clients, delivering high-quality, commercially sound employee relations advice. You will work across a varied client portfolio, supporting managers and HR leaders through everyday and complex people matters.
This is a client-facing advisory role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and building trusted relationships.
Key responsibilities
* Provide first-class employee relations advice to HR retainer clients across a range of sectors
* Manage casework including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance issues and capability matters
* Advise on employment law, best practice and risk, translating this into clear, practical guidance
* Support managers through investigations, hearings and outcomes
* Draft and review HR documentation including letters, policies and procedures
* Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor
* Maintain accurate case records and ensure advice is consistent and compliant
* Escalate complex or high-risk cases appropriately and collaborate with senior consultants
About you
* Proven experience in an employee relations or HR advisory role
* Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practice
* Confident advising managers and HR leaders in a consultative, commercial way
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Comfortable managing multiple cases across different clients
* Pragmatic, solutions-focused and calm under pressure
* Experience working in consultancy, shared services or retainer-based environments is highly desirable
