An opportunity to work as an Calibration Technician for a technically advanced engineering business operating at the forefront of automotive research and development. Working in an ISO 17025 UKAS-accredited laboratory, you will support the calibration and maintenance of highly sophisticated test instruments used in critical development and testing environments.
This Calibration Technician job will suit:
* A Calibration Technician / Electronics Technician / Engineering Technician with some previous calibration experience.
* Experience working in a calibration lab (preferably UKAS accredited) and familiar with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards.
* Comfortable working with instrumentation, circuit boards, and making component-level changes (e.g., surface mount devices).
* Skilled in using computer systems for calibration data processing and equipment management.
* You will hold a Level 3 (or higher) qualification in a relevant discipline.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical reports and calibration certificates.
This Calibration Technician job will involve:
* Performing multi-disciplinary calibration of instrumentation to ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards.
* Assessing instrument faults and carrying out minor repairs or component replacements.
* Producing technical reports and calibration certificates for internal and external clients.
* Supporting client on-site calibration activities and liaising directly with engineering staff.
* Using databases and systems for managing calibration data and tracking equipment status.
* Assisting in the development and improvement of calibration procedures and equipment.
