Role details
Band 4, Assistant Practitioner, 21.6 hrs per week. Preferred working days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. The position is part‑time and salary will be pro‑rated. Post based primarily in East and Mid Lothian with travel to other Lothian sites as required.
About the service
The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service in NHS Lothian offers a supported self‑management programme of exercise and education to people with chronic lung conditions. Physio and occupational therapy teams provide individualised exercise and physical activity programmes, a holistic education programme covering breathlessness and anxiety management, domiciliary visits and a variety of group sessions and individual reviews.
Responsibilities
* Provide individualised exercise and physical activity programmes to patients.
* Deliver holistic education programmes covering breathlessness and anxiety management.
* Conduct group sessions and individual reviews.
Qualifications and requirements
* PVG Scheme membership/record for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult). If not a current PVG member, an application to Disclosure Scotland is required and must be deemed satisfactory before commencing the post.
