Ace Education Manchester is a specialist alternative provision for secondary-age pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. We support young people who are unable to attend mainstream school due to anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, behaviour, or school refusal, and who need a calm, structured and relationship-led environment to re-engage with education.
Ace Education Manchester operates as part of the wider Angel Meadow Education Group, which also includes Angel Meadow School, an independent special school for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). This means our staff benefit from shared safeguarding systems, leadership, training and CPD across both provisions, while working in a focused SEMH setting.
We are now seeking English, Maths and General Teachers to join our growing team, on either a full-time or part-time basis.
The Role
You will teach small groups of pupils (typically 4–6 learners) with SEMH needs who require a highly supportive, flexible and trauma-informed approach. Pupils may be working below age-related expectations, have gaps in learning, or be rebuilding confidence after periods out of school.
Your role will be to help pupils reconnect with education, develop core skills and prepare for transition back into mainstream, special school or vocational pathways.

* Is a qualified teacher or experienced unqualified teacher (QTS preferred but not essential)
* Has experience working with SEMH, AP or vulnerable learners
* Can teach English, Maths or a broad secondary curriculum
* Is calm, resilient and relationship-focused
* Believes in second chances and inclusive education

* Full-time or part-time contracts available
* High-quality CPD through Angel Meadow School
