Training Designer
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and creative Training Designer to develop engaging, effective, and high-quality learning solutions. This role involves analysing training needs, designing instructional materials, and supporting the delivery of training programmes that enhance learner performance and capability.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop training solutions aligned to organisational goals and learner needs
Conduct training needs analysis to identify knowledge and skill gaps
Create instructional materials, including e-learning modules, classroom content, and blended learning programmes
Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g. ADDIE, SAM) to ensure effective learning outcomes
Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and validate training materials
Develop assessments and evaluation methods to measure training effectiveness
Ensure all learning content meets quality, accessibility, and compliance standards
Maintain and update existing training materials to reflect changes in processes or technology
Support the delivery and facilitation of training where required
Use learning technologies and authoring tools to produce high-quality content
Skills & Experience
Experience in instructional design, learning and development, or training design
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design frameworks
Experience developing digital learning content (e-learning, multimedia, or virtual training)
Proficiency in learning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate, Captivate, or similar)
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging learning materials
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent experience in Education, Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or a related field
Relevant professional certification (e.g. CIPD, ATD) is desirable
Desirable
Experience working in a technical, engineering, or regulated environment
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Experience with data analysis to evaluate learning effectiveness
