Our client is a leading international manufacturer of fresh prepared foods based in Boston, providing to major supermarkets across the UK.
Due to growth, an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Engineer has become available, to join the company on a full time, permanent basis.
The role will involve a continental shift pattern of 2 on 2 off / 3 on 3 off and will be a permanent night shift of 18:00-06:00.
The salary offered is up to £57,000 depending on experience.
In this busy and exciting role, you will conduct planned and predictive maintenance to prevent equipment issues and ensure smooth operations.
You will lead or support operational teams with machinery changeovers and setups, working closely with other teams to contribute to technical performance reviews and continuous improvement activities.
Maintenance Engineers in this role work both as part of a team and independently, depending on the task, and report to the Engineering Teams Manager.
Role Accountabilities:
· Conduct planned maintenance of processing and packaging assets.
· Conduct predictive maintenance of food processing and packaging assets (condition-based monitoring).
· Respond to breakdowns.
· Conduct reactive maintenance or corrective actions to resolve deviation.
· Identify faults (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and pneumatics) and action as required.
· Lead or support operational teams with machinery change overs and set ups.
· Manufacture and repair component parts for processing and packaging assets.
· Contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimise assets or processes.
Role Requirements:-
· Experienced Multi Skilled Engineer
· Electrical / Mechanical Qualifications, minimum NVQ Level 3
· Experience working within an FMCG environment
