HGV Trailer Technician / Trailer Mechanic / Semi-Trailer Fitter – Bedford
Location: Bedford
Salary: £38,000 – £44,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, overtime opportunities available
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled HGV Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic, or Semi-Trailer Fitter to join our busy workshop in Bedford. This permanent role offers excellent pay, overtime, and the chance to work on a wide range of trailer types and systems in a professional and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
* Perform inspections, servicing, and repairs on trailers to the highest safety and quality standards
* Accurately complete compliance and service documentation
* Diagnose and repair faults using EBS systems including HALDEX, WABCO, and KNORR BREMSE
* Participate in ongoing training and technical development
* Deliver excellent customer service while meeting deadlines
* Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
* Adapt to changing duties under supervisor guidance
Skills and Qualifications
* Essential
* Experience working on semi-trailers or heavy vehicles
* Industry standard qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQs
* Desirable
* HGV Class 1 driving licence
* IRTEC accreditation
* EBS diagnostics experience including Knorr Bremse, Haldex, WABCO
* Welding certification
* Experience with axle manufacturers such as BPW, SAF, or JOST
* Tail lift training and experience
* Experience with double deck or lifting deck maintenance
