Responsibilities
* To receive requisitions and demands, negotiate with suppliers, and process Purchase Orders and Purchase Order amendments in accordance with Procurement processes and procedures, and the requirements of the business
* To understand the budget requirements for the Purchase Orders they are responsible for, and to support achievement of these requirements through effective negotiation with their supplier
* To obtain and communicate progress updates from suppliers in an effective manner, and be capable of resolving issues in a satisfactory manner. To understand when to escalate more critical issues to senior members of staff
* To maintain Supplier open order books and ensure that correct and current data is maintained in the Oracle ERP system
* To process supplier returns, ensuring these are actioned in a timely manner
* To understand and support the implementation of corporate Procurement processes and initiatives as appropriate to their area of responsibility
* To support other members of the Procurement Team as required in their daily responsibilities
Qualifications
* Knowledge in buying/procurement/purchasing
* Effective communicator and strong IT skills
* Desirable
* HNC/HND in Business Studies or equivalent experience
* MCIPS Qualified or Equivalent experience
* Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle
