We are looking for a Trust LAS Specialist Registrar at ST3+ level to support a busy Trauma and Orthopaedic Department that consists of 20 Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultants.
This is a 12 month fixed term post commencing in August 2026. Please note: This post requires some flexibility with working patterns and hours of work, but will average 40 hours per week including an admin session.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the supervision, teaching, training and monitoring of more junior doctors and also the teaching and training of medical students.
* Have delegated responsibility for all the patients under the care of their Consultant / team, and refer to the Consultant when problems arise which are beyond his/her authority and/or experience.
* Maintain liaison with colleagues who are on duty immediately before and after.
* Ensure that the Trauma service is managed promptly and effectively.
Requirements
* Successful candidate is expected to be at ST3 competency or more.
* There is an active audit programme with opportunities for involvement in various projects.
