Job Purpose The Senior Manager, Market Development & Analytics - Global Derivatives, will be responsible for the planning, creation, and delivery of data-driven insights and analytics tools in support of product and market development functions across ICE's global commodity and financial derivatives business. This role will be pivotal in driving analytics initiatives across ICE derivatives exchanges working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across multiple business areas to unlock business-critical insights, enable evidence-based decision-making, and drive business growth. Reporting to the Senior Director, Market Development & Analytics - Global Derivatives, the role will take a lead on key strategic initiatives requiring extensive data discovery, data preparation, and quantitative model & visualization development with a variety of large data sets sourced from ICE exchanges, clearing houses and third-party data providers. Responsibilities Conduct analytics and data visualization development activities to support prioritized workstreams that enable a data-driven approach to maximize the outcomes for products and clients across exchange-listed products and services. These efforts will include, but not be limited to the following: defining key performance metrics and indicators to measure and benchmark business success, and building intuitive, easy-to-use product and client performance analytics tools for a global user base that are deployed and maintained in production environment analyzing market structure across asset classes and identifying where improvements could be made to grow market participation and liquidity analyzing the evolution of market participant trading behaviors / patterns with a view to identify new opportunities and/or risks for ICE exchanges developing analytics on incentive programs performance to support data-driven decision making on program development and to optimize program investment contributing to the design (and modification) of new (and existing) incentive programs Lead specific research and analysis projects to better understand client needs and behaviors that enable better business decisions and outcomes, or in support of regulatory reports. These efforts will include, but not be limited to: identifying product development opportunities arising from medium to long term macro market trends evaluating regulatory changes and the potential threats/opportunities to ICE's global derivative markets analyzing the evolution of market architecture and infrastructure, identifying growth opportunities Collaborate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across ICE exchanges, including senior management, sales & business development teams, market experts, business analysts, developers, with a focus on identifying opportunities to leverage data analytics & insight to drive business growth, product innovations, new opportunities, and operational efficiencies Support the development and delivery of exchange analytics roadmap that aligns with business goals, strategic objectives and maximizes the value derived from data and analytics initiatives Monitor and evaluate the performance of data analytics initiatives, track key metrics and present findings and recommendations to senior management Work with data analytics colleagues across ICE exchanges to develop and integrate predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and other new technologies in support of developing market and client analytics Develop requirements for ICE development and IT teams that may include business use cases, activity diagrams, user-interface schematics, business rules, and functional specifications Provide support and collaborate with a global user base for analytics tools and dashboards that may include conducting user demos, coaching sessions and awareness building for new and existing tools so as to foster a culture of data literacy and data-driven decision-making across the ICE exchanges organization Knowledge and Experience Strong quantitative and analytical background bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics, engineering, physics, applied statistics, data science, or similar numerate discipline (master's degree preferred) Extensive experience as a quantitative analyst or in data science/analytics with significant exposure to financial derivatives markets or financial trading environment in an investment bank, hedge fund, global data provider, or global exchange Strong working knowledge in financial derivatives products and futures markets across multiple asset classes, and in-depth understanding of metrics, insights and data sets related to these markets Sharp business acumen with the ability to translate complex analytics into intuitive, easy-to-understand and actionable insights for non-technical audiences Extensive experience and expertise with SQL and Python required, along with relevant quantitative and data science libraries (prior experience with anomaly detection, regression, statistical tests, time series forecasting, predictive and propensity models preferred) Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools and dashboard design experience essential (Tableau preferred) Experience in the use of large databases and data warehouses required (Snowflake preferred) Experience with transitioning and deploying data science and quantitative models to Production environment required along with exposure to Agile development process ability to articulate business use cases and prioritization for Sprint planning and to provide functional requirements/user stories to development teams is highly desirable Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; experience with the development and use of Visual Basic macros or other analytical applications in Excel is preferred Ability to be a team player and to collaborate with development teams and business stakeholders, including senior management Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills required Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills Schedule This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
