The Graduate Transport Planners/Engineers will join our Transport Planning and Mobility Solutions team within the Cities & Places business unit, which brings together transport planners, engineers, architects, designers, surveyors, urban designers and project managers to provide collaborative and coordinated value design solutions for clients both nationally and internationally.


What you’ll do / Responsibilities

You will be part of a team covering the full remit of transport planning across all modes, including policy and strategy advice, transport modelling/appraisal, active travel, streets design, traffic engineering and junction design. You may develop skills in areas such as traffic engineering, active travel scheme design, transformational placemaking, transport decarbonisation, traffic management solutions or public transport schemes. You will have the support of a mentor and management team, with access to training to support your career development and opportunities to grow your network and knowledge base to create innovative solutions. You will join our Newcastle office with potential for other locations.


Requirements / What you’ll need

* Be working toward a Degree or Master’s level qualification in Transport Planning, Geography, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Physics, Natural Sciences or Data/Computer Science.
* Hold a keen interest in transport planning and/or traffic engineering topics (e.g., healthy streets, walking, cycling, public transport planning, transport policy/strategy, transport modelling/appraisal, junction improvement, placemaking).
* A flexible self-starter who is keen to drive your career forward.
* Adaptable to change, with a thirst for learning new things.
* You must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
