Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for innovative individuals to work as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) within the Older Adult Mental Health Community Services.
We are committed to ensuring that all older adults within the mental health service receive an exceptional standard of care. ANPs are well placed to respond to the health and social care needs by meeting the requirements of the population in different ways and contributing to a sustainable and effective system.
We are looking for qualified mental health ANPs to work within their professional boundaries to provide physical and mental health care for the presenting patient, including history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care. The successful candidates will demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and expert care for patients. They will be highly motivated, forward-thinking, and have a positive attitude towards working within this evolving service.
The ANP will support service development through research, audit, and quality improvement. They will also have responsibilities to teach, supervise, assess, and mentor staff within the multidisciplinary team.
This post will primarily cover the older adult community mental health team based in Central and West Fife, with potential for work in other areas. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioners who already possess non-medical prescribing and clinical assessment skills qualifications.
Trainees will be paid a percentage of the pay band maximum, depending on the training duration (see Terms and Conditions).
For informal enquiries, contact Iain Millar, Lead Nurse, at 01334 696291 ext 56291 or email [emailprotected], or Jacqueline McInnes, Interim Clinical Services Manager, at 01383 623623 ext 23830 or email [emailprotected].
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the PVG Scheme before appointment.
To work in the UK, applicants must demonstrate they have the relevant permission to work, evidenced through visas or settled status. NHS Scotland will verify entitlement to work as part of pre-employment checks. For more info, visit GOV.UK.
Depending on eligibility, sponsorship via a UK Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker Visa may be possible if the employer is licensed and salary thresholds are met. Check eligibility before applying.
We support flexible working, family-friendly policies, and reasonable adjustments for disabled, long-term conditions, or neurodivergent candidates.
