What does the day of a Laundry Assistant look like?
Our Laundry Assistants are responsible for ensuring that all items of residents’ personal clothing and linen are laundered and cleaned to the highest standards.
* Ensure items are appropriately separated and laundered according to washing/drying instructions
* Launder all linen, including bedding, table cloths, towels and soft furnishings as required
* Ensure personal items are collected and returned within a reasonable timescale to their owner
* Maintain the laundry area in a tidy and safe condition and notify the Housekeeper of any safety hazards or defective equipment
* Perform general cleaning duties as required
* Develop a positive relationship with all residents, staff and visitors by becoming an important part of the team
