Description
Head of Development and Delivery - for our North-East and Yorkshire new homes programme
Circa £90,000 per annum, plus car allowance of £5055 per annum and great benefits including Health Cash Plan
Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw)
Based in the region with hybrid working from our office in Newcastle Upon Tyne two days per week, from home and regular travel to our Leeds office and sites across the regional portfolio.

Key priorities as Head of Development and Delivery
1. As a key member of our business leadership team, ensuring a commercially viable development programme, carefully managing income and expenditure, identifying new opportunities and progressing schemes which include joint ventures with developers and contractors.
2. Leading our development programme from strategy to site identification, sale/rent through to aftercare, working collaboratively with your team to ensure successful delivery.
3. Ensuring our new homes programme is innovative, market leading, sustainable and co-designed with customers, driving growth and surplus. You'll support us in the move towards greater consolidation and quality towards Net Zero.
4. Providing strong, clear and expert leadership promoting a culture of performance, transparency and excellence - casting a positive shadow.You’ll inspire, influence and lead a high performing team, driving service excellence.

You bring
5. Significant experience within the housing sector. A degree and relevant professional qualification such as CIOH, RICS, CIOB would also be advantageous.
6. Strong experience in managing the end-to-end development process from opportunity identification, option analysis, master planning, design, delivery, sales and aftercare.
7. Credibility in the sector, with proven skills to lead change, drive continuous improvement and innovations.
8. Strong skills in developing business plans, influencing strategy and managing P&L.
9. Excellent people manager with strong leadership skills and the ability to engage, influence, transform and make it a great place to work for your team.
Our team
Reporting to Kitson, our Director of Development, you’ll be part of our business leadership team.You’ll meet with them regularly to drive strategy and also ensure we have a collaborative and collegiate approach in leading our teams.

10. Full time, 37.5 hpw, Monday to Friday.
11. Hybrid working; from home, our office in Newcastle or Leeds and across our regional development sites.
12. Based in the region with hybrid working; from our office in Newcastle Upon Tyne two days per week, from home with regular travel to our Leeds office and sites across the regional portfolio.
13. National travel will also be required on occasion to meet with our Development colleagues based in London.
14. A full current driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for work.You will be provided with a car allowance as part of your remuneration package.
