About the Role
Our partner SEND School is seeking a motivated and compassionate SEND Tutor to join our team as part of the National Teaching Programme (NTaP). This role focuses on delivering targeted academic support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to make progress in core learning areas while building confidence and independence.
Tutoring will be delivered on a one-to-one or small group basis, tailored to individual pupil needs and aligned with the school curriculum.
Key Responsibilities ⭐
1. Deliver high-quality tutoring sessions in line with NTP guidance
2. Support pupils with a range of SEND needs using inclusive, adaptive teaching strategies
3. Plan engaging and structured intervention sessions
4. Track pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and the SENCO
5. Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
6. Maintain accurate records of sessions and outcomes
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
7. Experience working with children or young people with SEND
8. An understanding of inclusive and differentiated teaching approaches
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
10. Patience, empathy, and a commitment to pupil wellbeing
11. Experience in tutoring or intervention delivery (desirable)
12. Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
