The project: We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director - Project Management to join our team on a permanent basis. As Project Manager you will represent Mace whilst interfacing with our key clients. You will be required to lead others effectively, give clear direction, coach and support others to reach their full potential.
You’ll be responsible for:
1. Overseeing project timeframes and project budgets and ensures budgets are managed diligently and highlights any risks, challenges and mitigations.
2. On behalf of external/third-party clients oversee the project management of the project/s on an individual and team basis from inception to post-completion.
3. Ensuring the successful delivery of the project in line with all stakeholders’ expectations communicating strategies to the wider client/consultant/contractor team.
4. Provides subject matter expertise and guidance to support the success of the project.
5. Overseeing management of the client and consultant team and all external/project stakeholders to ensure effective completion of the project in line with client expectations.
6. Actively driving collaboration between all parties.
7. Producing design and authorities programme to be integrated with procurement and delivery programme.
8. Managing the timely delivery to programme from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement.
9. and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.
10. Partnering with multiple internal and external stakeholders, working in collaboration to (implement strategy/programmes/initiatives).
11. Delivering continuous improvements in processes through application of best practices and lessons learned.
You’ll need to have:
12. Extensive rail sector experience delivering material by rail solutions from planning through design and construction.
13. Strong NEC contract expertise with deep, demonstrable project management capability.
14. Professionally qualified (MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS, MICE or equivalent).
15. Proven stakeholder leadership, collaborating with operations teams, network rail and landowners to define and deliver requirements.
