About this Position:
A Draftsperson is required to provide design and drafting support to the engineering team. The role involves producing accurate 2D CAD drawings and technical documentation for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, supporting manufacture and project delivery. This position offers exposure across a variety of projects, with training and mentoring provided by senior engineers.
Job Responsibilities:

Prepare 2D CAD drawings (IAW BS8888) for components and assemblies, with occasional 3D CAD work.

Produce component and fabrication drawings, assembly details, and bills of materials (BOMs).

Apply GD&T principles, including tolerance stacks.
*
Revise and update drawings based on engineer feedback.
*
Assist with electrical and hydraulic schematics under guidance.
*
Maintain drawing files, registers, and revision control.
*
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and suppliers to ensure accurate documentation.
Experience Required:
*
Minimum 5 years’ drafting/design experience with GD&T.
*
Degree qualified (BSc or BEng).
*
Proficiency in CAD software (Inventor preferred; AutoCAD or SolidWorks acceptable).
*
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to interpret technical information accurately.
*
Organised, with good communication and teamwork skills.
