Sign-On Bonus Offer
For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible experienced RNs with 1-2 years of experience, and $20,000 for those with more than 2 years of experience.
* Eligible candidates are hired into a full or part-time RN position. Bonus is prorated for part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.
* Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former employees are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation.
Unit and Role Description
We are seeking RNs to join our newly created 40-bed medical-surgical transitional care unit, focusing on patients requiring longer stays. This unit bridges various providers, services, and settings, emphasizing patient engagement through art, games, and social activities to promote health and morale.
The team includes geriatrics, nursing, providers, and activities staff, all committed to tailored patient care. Our nurses, PCTs, and CNAs excel in identifying patient needs, risks, and interventions, providing excellent customer service, and collaborating effectively with healthcare teams, patients, and families.
Position Details
This is a part-time, day shift role with 2 twelve-hour shifts per week.
Position Summary
The Clinical Nurse supports Maine Medical Center's mission by demonstrating excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, patient and family-centered care, community commitment, and accountability. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care, across inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
Minimum Qualifications (KSAs)
* Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
* License/Certifications: Current Maine RN license; relevant specialty certification preferred.
* Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience.
* Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and processes.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical skills to monitor patient condition changes and initiate appropriate responses.
* Ability to handle potential crisis situations effectively.
* Compassionate nursing practice fostering a healing environment.
* Technical skills for caring for diverse patient populations.
