We’re recruiting a qualified female electrician to work across a range of domestic and commercial sites in South Devon. This role involves electrical installation, maintenance, and inspection—often in settings that support vulnerable or female-only clients, where dignity, privacy, and safety are essential.
You’ll be joining a growing and supportive team who value high standards, professionalism, and integrity. The work is varied, meaningful, and hands-on — from small repairs and testing to full first and second fix installs.
This role is open to women only, under the provisions of Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010, due to the need to work in environments such as women’s shelters, female-only housing, and spaces supporting vulnerable women.

What you’ll be doing:
1. Carrying out 1st and 2nd fix electrical installations
2. Diagnosing and repairing faults in domestic and light commercial environments
3. Testing and inspecting electrical systems (EICRs)
4. Completing accurate paperwork and certification
5. Ensuring compliance with current regulations and health & safety
6. Communicating clearly and respectfully with clients and service users
What you’ll need:
7. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
8. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
9. AM2 and ECS Gold Card (preferred but not essential)
10. Full UK driving licence
11. Confidence working alone or in a small team
12. Excellent communication and organisational skills
13. Experience in both domestic and commercial settings
