An opportunity has arisen for a Road Safety Officer to assist in the promotion and development of all aspects of work of the Road Safety Team delivering targeted education, training and publicity programmes in schools and colleges, to individuals, in communities and neighbourhoods. This includes the interrogation of casualty data to determine where and how casualties are occurring and to design programmes of activities that address these risks. WHAT IS INVOLVED? You will support existing partnerships that contribute to delivering casualty reduction and core Road Safety programmes across the County. Some of the duties and responsibilities include:- To deliver education, training and publicity activities and initiatives supporting core Road Safety programmes. Assess casualty data to determine where and how casualties are occurring and programme activities that address the risks. WHAT WILL I NEED? You should hold a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline and experience of working in an education, training, or publicity related area, together with experience of dealing with the public, and other stakeholders.
