A Snapshot of Your Day
Working alongside Sales and Tendering Managers, you will support the business with the interpretation of spare parts quotations and orders for customer demand. You will ensure supplied parts are interchangeable, validate supersession data, and support the creation of recommended spares lists for annual service requirements.
You will provide prompt support for breakdown situations, ensuring records remain accurate and up to date, while also identifying opportunities for process improvements that enable faster and more accurate quotation responses.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Identify and interpret scheduled and unscheduled spare parts enquiries, assisting in the processing of chargeable spares orders and the creation of recommended spares lists.
2. Investigate components to determine suitability as spare parts for specific engine configurations, recording findings for future reference and reuse.
3. Manage work in progress across the spares backlog, expediting information from sourcing, engineering teams, and Spares Coordinators to ensure timely responses.
4. Provide spares support to Market Support during bid processes, helping secure new business opportunities.
5. Compile technical engineering notes for customers to explain spare part supersession and interchangeability.
6. Liaise with suppliers and procurement teams to confirm identification, interchangeability, suitability, and availability of spare parts for bought-out equipment.
7. Support urgent customer shutdown situations, responding quickly and professionally to requests for spare parts information and driving improvements in rapid response processes.
What You Bring
8. Degree in a relevant engineering subject, or HND/HNC with relevant industry experience.
9. Diverse engineering background with practical technical understanding.
10. Operational knowledge of gas turbines and supporting equipment.
11. Experience handling technical data or working with data management systems.
12. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
13. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
14. SAP operational knowledge or experience.
