Early Careers Talent Specialist - 12 month fixed term contract
Hybrid - with at least 3 days on site in Cheltenham

The Early Careers Talent Specialist will play a key role in executing our early careers talent strategies. Reporting to the HR Director of Kohler Mira, this position involves managing various initiatives, including outreach to schools, colleges, and universities, as well as overseeing our apprenticeship and Year in Industry programs. The role focuses on creating a sustainable talent pipeline aligned with business growth and skills gaps.
This role is ideal for someone eager to work in a dynamic HR team, delivering high-quality early careers initiatives such as apprenticeships, STEM outreach, work experience, and placement schemes.
Responsibilities
* Manage the delivery of the 2025/26 early careers plan, including role identification, recruitment, onboarding, and pastoral care.
* Support apprenticeship recruitment and onboarding, guide candidates through assessments, and facilitate transition to permanent roles.
* Organize recruitment events like open evenings and assessment centers.
* Collaborate with training providers and managers to ensure progression and valuable project work for associates.
* Chair the early careers steering committee to provide governance and strategic direction.
* Design and deliver initiatives to attract diverse talent, including careers fairs, mentoring, and competitions.
* Coordinate work experience placements, ensuring positive learning experiences.
* Oversee wage adjustments, bonuses, and departmental expenditure with finance support.
* Utilize talent metrics to monitor program effectiveness.
* Serve as a primary contact for internal and external early careers inquiries.
Skills and Requirements
* Passion for developing early careers talent, with experience in apprenticeships, graduate programs, STEM outreach, or education sectors.
* HR or recruitment experience is advantageous.
* Experience working with young people.
* Strong project management skills and ability to deliver events from start to finish.
* Excellent relationship-building skills, with a proactive approach to partnership development.
* Ability to work independently and organize effectively.
* Team-oriented with attention to detail.
* Degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
* Inclusive approach to talent development.
