We are entering an exciting new phase following the recent implementation of a state-of-the-art ERP system. This system enhances how we manage stock, manufacturing, and project builds, providing a stronger platform to improve quality, reduce costs, boost efficiency, and align with recognised standards such as ISO9001.
With these improvements come new planning and administrative responsibilities, and we are now looking for a Production Planner to help us fully unlock the benefits of our ERP system and drive operational success.
Responsibilities:
* Work collaboratively with the project group to ensure manufacturing activities are scheduled according to defined project plans.
* Ensure shop orders are scheduled correctly to drive material allocation planning and timesheet data entry.
* Manage and ensure integrity of part and BoM information within the ERP system (IFS), including migration of part and structure data into the ERP system.
* Run MRP/PMRP, interrogate and process suggestions to ensure production delivery deadlines are met.
* Monitor and manage manufacturing tasking and resource loading.
* Own and create production routings in collaboration with the manufacturing teams.
* Work collaboratively with the stock control department to ensure accurate inventory including leading stock counting activities and processing shop orders.
* Work collaboratively with the Engineering team for the smooth introduction of new products and the generation of BOM’s.
* Work collaboratively with project delivery and customer support teams to plan customer site visits and installations in parallel with production activities.
* Report on production progress, proactively seeking solutions to roadblocks.
* Any other tasks that may arise.
* Highly competent user of ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
* Experience in planning in a manufacturing environment.
* Detail orientated with excellent problem solving ability.
* Strong communications skills with a collaborative approach.
* Experience in stock control.
* Experience using IFS ERP system.
* Experience planning in a low volume, project-based manufacturing environment.
* Experience with BoM management in Solidworks PDM.
* Competent in design change control and obsolescence management.
* Experience in material planning and procurement.
