Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee all aspects of food production and service. Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring effective team collaboration and communication.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high-quality standards.
* Develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences while adhering to budgetary constraints.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards.
* Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage food costs efficiently.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors for quality ingredients.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen or restaurant environment.
* Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals.
* In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Previous experience in hospitality is highly desirable.
* Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
* Strong leadership qualities with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
