Locum Practice Nurse
Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Practice Nurse to support a GP Surgery in Nottingham on an Adhoc Basis. This flexible contract is perfect for a clinician who has availability to pick up adhoc shifts dependent on demand of the GP Surgery.
Contract: Adhoc - Shifts available dependent on demand of service
Location: Nottingham, NG16
Hours: 9am-5:30pm (30 min break)
Pay: £32 LTD p.h / £28 PAYE inclu p.h.
System: SystmOne (S1)
Job Summary The Practice Nurse will work as part of the primary care team to provide high-quality nursing care to the practice population. The role involves delivering a range of clinical services including chronic disease management, health promotion, screening, immunisations, wound care, and supporting patients to improve and maintain their health and wellbeing.
Clinical Duties
Deliver routine nursing care and treatment to patients within agreed clinical protocols.
Undertake chronic disease management clinics, including diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease reviews.
Perform health assessments and NHS Health Checks.
Administer routine and travel vaccinations in accordance with national guidelines.
Carry out cervical cytology screening.
Provide wound care, dressings, and management of minor injuries.
Undertake venepuncture, ECGs, spirometry, blood pressure monitoring, and other clinical procedures as requiredEssential Requirements:
Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and experience working within a GP Surgery
Experience working within General Practice or Primary Care.
Competent in chronic disease management, immunisations, cytology and wound dressing
Confident using SystmOne
