Introduction
We are recruiting for a talented Project Manager to join our client's Engineering and Technical Solutions team at Sizewell B.
Key Responsibilities
* Accountable to the client Project Portfolio Management (PPM) for the successful delivery of all aspects of assigned projects.
* Set the project execution strategy in agreement with the client Project Portfolio Management, using a cross-functional project team to ensure safe and effective project delivery in line with company policies and procedures.
* Achieve project goals and objectives within the agreed baseline.
* No direct reports; collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
* Based at the EDF Sizewell B Power Station, with occasional business travel to other UK sites/stations.
* Report to the Business Operations Manager, while being directly accountable for project delivery to the client.
* Proven track record of working within highly regulated environments, ensuring high safety standards and a strong safety culture.
* Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to develop relationships, maintain effective networks, and work in a results-focused, team-centred manner.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Degree educated, ideally in engineering or a related subject, with a preferred Chartered status.
* Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) formal project management qualification or equivalent, with expertise in modern project management techniques for complex, multi-functional organisations.
* Thorough understanding of engineering, design, procurement, safety case, construction, installation/commissioning management, and commercial contracting.
* Familiarity with Safety Cases, Health and Safety, and Environment legislation including Construction Design and Management, and actions for achieving compliance.
* Strong understanding of quality assurance and control, with experience in managing commercial, contractual, and financial project drivers.
* Demonstrable experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, ideally across complex, multi-discipline environments, and leading integrated project teams.
* Experience in estimating, cost control, planning, and commercial awareness, including preparation of business cases and funding papers.
* Proficient in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and tools for estimating, scheduling, programming, risk, and Earned Value analysis.
* Experience in Power Stations and Nuclear Licensed Sites is preferred, but not essential.
Salary and Benefits
£55,000 - £75,000 per annum
