We’re looking for someone to take a lead role within our Data Acquisition Division, leading and supporting on the development of agreements with external parties and enabling bringing these data into ONS, working to deliver mature data governance processes that deliver sustainable data for ONS’ need.
You will apply relevant data and ethical frameworks and standards to your work, understanding data governance good practice. Specifically, you'll provide advice to users on the technical, ethical, data protection and security, and legal aspects (e.g. GDPR) of using administrative data, and the benefits of using it.
Responsibilities
* Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence decision making.
* Work effectively with subject matter experts across the organisation.
* Improve data maturity and set best practice across the organisation.
Qualifications
* Relevant experience in data governance, data protection, GDPR, and ethical frameworks.
* Proven ability to develop and manage data agreements with external parties.
* Team‑leading experience and ability to influence across a distributed organisation.

Location: Newport, Titchfield (Fareham), London, and Manchester. Flexible hybrid working model across the UK. Minimum 40% office attendance.
