We are excited to announce the creation of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) position. This role is essential in supporting our Priest Administrator and will provide professional leadership across finance, operations, and organizational systems. Your Role and Responsibilities
As the COO, you will:
* Act as a deputy to the Priest Administrator, ensuring smooth operational flow.
* Oversee financial management and operational systems.
* Support the Priest Administrator in focusing on mission, worship, and pilgrimage.
* Lead initiatives that enhance our charitable mission and sustainability.
What We’re Looking For
Essential experience includes:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Senior-level experience in finance and operations.
* Knowledge of charity finance, governance, and compliance.
* Commercial acumen with experience in overseeing trading or income-generating activities.
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* A collaborative leadership style that aligns with Christian ethos and values.
* Willingness to live within a reasonable distance of Walsingham.
