Sub Agent – Major Infrastructure (HS2)
A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project in the Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire region.This is a key position within a high-profile programme, offering the opportunity to take ownership of defined work packages on aplex civils scheme.
The RoleReporting to the Site Agent / Project Manager, you will be responsible for the safe,pliant and efficient delivery of a section of works. You will manage day-to-day operations across multiple workfaces, ensuring activities are planned, coordinated and delivered in line with programme, technical standards and quality expectations.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Managing delivery of civils packages including:FencingUTX crossingsDitch crossings
2. Planning and coordinating works through short-term programmes, lookaheads and daily briefings
3. Ensuring all works are delivered to design specifications and approved documentation
4. Managing site teams, subcontractors, plant and logistics across your section
5. Driving high standards of health, safety and environmentalpliance
6. Overseeing quality assurance, inspections, testing and as-built records
7. Managing temporary works, permits and site documentation
8. Identifying and resolving technical issues, risks and construction constraints
9. Supporting programme delivery through proactive problem-solving and collaboration
You will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered right first time, with fullpliance to project requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
10. Previous experience working as a Sub Agent, or a minimum of 12 months operating as a Senior Engineer / Section Engineer
11. Strong civils background with proven experience on infrastructure projects
12. Experience in earthworks, drainage or related disciplines preferred
13. Experience working on HS2 or similar large-scale schemes is highly desirable
14. Strong understanding of site delivery, planning and construction sequencing
15. Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple workfaces
16. Excellentmunication and leadership skills
