About the Role
As a Project Manager, you will manage projects within our ICP and EV portfolio, overseeing the construction, installation, and commissioning of new electricity connections up to 33kV, as well as EV infrastructure. Reporting to the Senior Programme Managers, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
You will coordinate with clients, DNOs, iDNOs, subcontractors, and internal teams to meet project milestones and specifications, while maintaining financial control and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage a portfolio of ICP and EV projects from design through to completion
2. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client expectations
3. Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate all project activities
4. Plan and monitor project programmes, milestones, and deliverables
5. Maintain financial control, including managing variations and accurate cost forecasting
6. Procure labour, materials, and equipment within budget
7. Prepare work instructions and ensure teams are fully briefed
8. Conduct site and supplier audits, addressing any non-conformances
9. Ensure compliance with DNO/iDNO specifications, NRSWA, HAUC, and company policies
10. Oversee health, safety, and quality standards on all projects
11. Complete final quality audits and ensure accurate documentation for DNO/iDNO submissions
12. Promote continuous improvement and maintain strong client relationships
Essential Skills & Qualifications
13. Project management qualification
14. Full UK driving licence
15. Strong organisational and time management skills
16. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
17. Ability to interpret complex requirements and manage risks
18. In-depth knowledge of HV and LV installations
19. Experience coordinating site activities and ensuring safety compliance
20. Commercial awareness and understanding of contract terms
21. Proficient in Microsoft Project and MS Office
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
22. HNC in a related discipline
23. SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
24. Electrical competency certificates (DNO, Electrician, or Electrical Fitter)
25. CSCS card
26. Emergency First Aid at Work
27. NRSWA Supervisor qualification
