Join to apply for the Specialist Occupational Therapist role at NHS Ayrshire & Arran.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Intermediate Care Team as part of our Integrated Assessment and Support Service (ICASS).
The Intermediate Care Service provides rehabilitation to the adult population within the locality. This will be delivered to service users as in-patients, out-patients, or within their own home.
You will require a degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the HCPC.
Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will be expected to provide assessment and treatment for a mixed caseload of mainly older people with complex needs.
You should have excellent organisational skills and be able to work independently as well as within the team. Involvement in quality improvement, service development, supervisory skills, and student mentoring would all be beneficial.
There may be occasions where you will be required to work at other community hospital sites. Working hours are flexible over 7 days, and current arrangements include public holiday work.
Our service offers regular supervision, PDP, and training opportunities.
The ability to travel throughout the area is essential for this community rehab role.
For informal enquiries, please contact Lizzie Wright, Team Lead Occupational Therapist, at 01334 465756 or elizabeth.wright5@nhs.scot.
Note: Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check. If the role is classified as a 'regulated role', appointment is subject to joining the PVG Scheme. Further details are available at Disclosure Scotland Changes.
